During this year we have all be told to follow so many rules, many of which have turned out to be open to interpretation and contradictory and downright confusing.

I usually write a blog at Christmas on how to eat well but I think we have maybe all had enough of being given advice and told what we should be eating and what we should not.

For some people the enforced lockdown has meant that their relationship with food has gone completely haywire – stress can encourage us to eat un-mindfully – grabbing everything we can to help with the stress response. For others it has meant that they have been doing more cooking from scratch and perhaps experimenting with different recipes, ways of eating and trying new things.

Likewise with keeping active – so many people who would not have necessarily thought of walking as an exercise or even a pleasure, have been going out and about and discovering how great it can be to get into nature whatever the weather.

For many of us Christmas is not going to mean getting together with family and friends as we may have done in the past but hopefully we can look forward to doing that in 2021.

Here are a few links to blogs we have written throughout this year to remind us to be kind to ourselves at a time when we are still facing many uncertainties – and one for those who would like advice on healthier eating!
