Luck’s Yard Clinic wins two national awards in one evening.
We are delighted to announce that the clinic has been awarded the Patient Partnership Quality Mark (PPQM) for the fourth time by The Royal College of Chiropractors, as well as one of our associates was awarded the Graham Heale award for the most outstanding associate of the year.
The PPQM is awarded to chiropractic clinics that demonstrate excellence in meeting patient expectations in a range of areas including accessibility, cleanliness and safety and patient communication.
The decision to award the PPQM is made by a panel of patients and public who form the Royal College of Chiropractor’s patients committee.
Principal Tone Tellefsen Hughes and Daniela Colores Jardon, are pictured receiving the award at a ceremony in London on 1st February from the Chair of the Royal College’s patients committee, Mr Hew Helps.
Tone Tellefsen Hughes said:
“The award of the Patient Partnership Quality Mark recognises our clinic’s commitment to meeting the expectations our patients have when they visit us for advice and treatment. The aim of the clinic team is to continually improve our levels of service and the award encourages us that we are achieving this”.
We are always striving to create new ways of communicating how patients can help themselves and this year we have launched our new brochure to help our patients really be part of their own health journey and it has been really well received so far.
The Graham Heale award for the most outstanding associate of the year went to Luck’s Yard Clinic’s chiropractor Daniela Colores Jardon.
Daniela has been incredibly busy since starting at the clinic in 2015. She has created several YouTube films on postural advice as well as teaching postural advice to local Schools in the past two years. During October she did a talk to Waverley Abbey School in Tilford for World Spine Day, and asked the students to write suggestions for how to sit and stand better to avoid back pain. The children’s top tips were then read out live on our Facebook advents calendar attracting hundreds of views every day during the month of December to inspire others to straighten up and make their spines smiles.
She also created a posture Christmas tree with all the replies outside the clinic so that passer’s by could be inspired to straighten up more. Getting people moving is our motto.
“Getting these two awards this year is a great way to start out 10 anniversary year, says Tone Tellefsen Hughes and I am so incredibly proud of Daniela and her commitment to her patients as well as our local community. She is such an asset to our community”
We are excited what this year will bring and endeavour to keep serving our patients with good care. Our patients are at the centre of all that we do, and our clinic patient numbers for January this year is up 19% and for the whole clinic 24% from January two years ago, so we are delighted.
