On Saturday 10th June, The Luck’s Yard Team celebrated their 10th anniversary.

The party was held at Secretts Pick Your Own Café, and all our patients who have supported us over the years since 2007 were invited to come and join us.

We had nibbles, cakes and a glass of bubbly as well as a treat to take home.

Most of the team were there to join in with our guests, some of whom have known Tone for 15 to 20 years since her time working in Godalming.

Tone’s Dad Jens, came over from Sweden, despite recently been ill, and serenaded the guests with jazz on the keyboard throughout the party.

Tone gave a speech sharing some of the insights of the last ten years, thanking all the people who have been part of the team whilst setting up and growing the clinic.

She talked about the ‘originals’: Yvette, Pippa, Frances, Mariana, Ingrid, Cassie and Sue who were there from the opening day.

She also talked about how so many have joined the team and stayed for a long time helping the clinic to be a place of stability and strength.

Tone also spent a moment talking about the atmosphere of the building and thanking Jim Luck and his family for creating such a calm, special place to practice the different therapies. She feels that the Luck family have woven their positive nature into the fabric of the building. It was very special having Jim and Sue there who helped to celebrate the opening of the clinic 10 years ago.

Tone also wanted to mention and thank the many individuals who have been part of the team over the years, and moved on to have families, set up their own clinics, hold different jobs, and even to work abroad.

The clinic has a strong ethos of leaving ‘egos’ at the front door, and working together to help our patients get the best possible care.

Everyone who works at the clinic shares the same values and our aim is to help our patients become the best version of themselves they can be.

Having a focus on education, support and guidance has been our primary aim and this has grown the clinic to now nearly 9000 patients on our books since opening. We are incredibly busy, but we love what we do.

Tone also wanted to thank our many patients as without them we cannot do our therapy. We appreciate the trust that everyone has given us and we hold this very dear.

Tone says: “It is a gift to be able to be part of people’s lives and their health and wellbeing and we take this with great respect. We also love the laughter we share with our patients and look forward to each day being part of their health journey”.

It was a very emotional gathering and Tone thanked everyone for coming and making it so special and memorable .

Here is to ten more years of serving our patients in our local community!
