Green Hub news and new Teen Talk

News from the Green Hub Project for teens

We are delighted announce that we are now welcoming teens from the ages of 11 to 18 years for the coming season.  The Green Hub project is located behind Luck’s Yard Clinic in Milford where we have a relaxed and peaceful garden where teens can come together to work and have fun in nature.

We would also love to share with you our new Teen Talk session on Saturday 25th February 25th 3 – 5 pm at Godalming Youth Hub located at Broadwater Youth Centre in Farncombe.

The workshop is called ‘Harness the Power of Your Teen Brain’ and the key areas we are covering are:

  • Simple strategies to reduce brain overwhelm
  • How to increase focus, concentration and motivation
  • Get more out of your day – and how to feel more empowered

This is a fun and interactive workshop for teens in Secondary School who are keen to understand how to harness their brain power, create their own personal brain strategies and learn how to use these on a daily basis.

This can help with clarity of the mind leading to increased energy, focus and concentration in both school and after school activities including social situations.

Recent studies have found that when students learn the science of the brain, they take more active part in managing their daily habits and this also helps the self-confidence in other areas of life.

We know these workshops can really make a difference to stressed teens, especially as exam season is approaching.

The cost is £15 per student, but we have a low income option at £7.50, and will also chat with anyone who feels that this is too much for them to pay. The most important thing is that we get teens in the room who we can support!
