Walk to School Week 2013 takes place as part of National Walking Month each May, bringing together nearly one million schoolchildren, teachers and parents.
This year’s Walk to School Week runs from Mon 20th – Fri 24th May and will reinforce five benefits of walking: Safety, Discovery, Health, Eco-friendly and Social time.
If you walk your children to school or decide to take part in this years event, you may be interested to know that the Podiatry team at Luck’s Yard offer a foot assessment for all children – either pre-school or for older children already at school.
Your child may benefit from an assessment if you have noticed that they:
- Trip over easily
- Tire quickly on walks
- Suffer from “growing pain”
- Complain of low back pain
- Have an awkward gait or hate sports
- Tip-toe, in-toe, roll in or have flat arches
The podiatry team offer a 30 minute posture and gait analysis of the lower limb which can help YOU as a parent to prepare your child for pre-school or school.
For more information call our friendly front desk team and they can help you with all your enquiries on 01483 527945 or email enquiries@http://www.lucksyardclinic.com
