Becky is a qualified Acupuncturist with 11 years of experience. She trained at the renowned College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading having completed 4 years of training. The acupuncture degree course is validated by Kingston University and accredited by the British Acupuncture Accreditation Board (BAAB).
She is a member of the British Acupuncture Council, the governing body for traditional acupuncturists. She is covered by full public indemnity and liability insurance.
Becky practices a style of acupuncture which integrates two complementary forms:
- Five Element Constitutional Acupuncture, which approaches healing from the emotional and spiritual aspect.
- Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) which initially concentrates on physical signs and symptoms.
Becky has experience in treating a wide variety of conditions and has a special interest in treating fertility for (both men and women) and many different types of pain and injuries.
Prior to moving to Haslemere, Becky ran a busy practice at a GP surgery in Great Bookham as well as a private practice in Leatherhead.
Alongside acupuncture Becky also uses Tui Na (Chinese Medical Massage), Cosmetic Acupuncture (Facial Revitalisation) and Chinese Dietary Therapy in order to help patients regain good health. Becky has extensive training in Hypnotherapy.
In November 2008 Becky travelled to Guangzhou in China with 15 acupuncture practitioners to observe Chinese Medicine being practiced in one of China’s most modern hospitals.
Becky says: “This was an invaluable experience and provided me with additional experience which I have been able to incorporate into my working practice for the benefit of my patients”.
Becky is committed to on-going professional development and continues to update her knowledge and skills by attending various postgraduate courses – recently in fertility and IVF.
Outside of work Becky enjoys yoga, cooking and travel.
She is available to see clients on a Wednesday.
