Christmas 2018 is the third year in succession that we have run our seasonal appeal to support our local Food Bank at St. Marks Centre in Ockley Ridge, Godalming.
They are in need of donations – both food and household goods – all year around and we are so delighted to offer Luck’s Yard Clinic as a ‘drop centre’ for the local community.
We started our collection before December and have doubled our donations every day. Sue has already done two deliveries and the last one before Christmas will be next week.
However, we will keep collecting donations until the New Year when Tone will drop off the last delivery. The need is so great locally and there are many families who really rely on this service, not only at Christmas but all year around.
We have asked you to donate whatever you can bring. The food bank requests that they can accept any food provided it is non-perishable in small tins or portions and packages so they can prepare bags for each person or family. Please NO homemade produce or perishable or fresh foods.
We have also had donations of toiletries and sanitary products as there is a great need for these products as well.
We would all like to say a big thank you to our local community for supporting us in this appeal and for your incredible kindness and generosity. Let’s make this a better Christmas for more people locally by doing it together.
