Stress at work

The problem with working hard and aiming high is that we often put ourselves under pressure which in many cases leads to stress and tension. This in turn can make us unhappy, unsettled and unmotivated in our work – not a nice feeling!

Stress can present itself in many forms:
  • Poor concentration
  • Fatigue/ Exhaustion/ Feeling drained
  • Knotted feeling in stomach or even upset tummy
  • Headaches
  • Anxiety/ Panic attacks/Palpitations
  • High Blood Pressure/Heart Rate
  • Insomnia
  • Feeling unwell
  • Irritable/ feeling wound up
  • Depression

Acupuncture has a very relaxing response on the body by decreasing heart rate, lowering blood pressure, increasing energy and improving digestion and metabolism. This helps the body function more effectively within stressful situations. Acupuncture can also help calm the mind and relieve feelings of anxiety and depression, resulting in a better night’s sleep and a more productive you the following day.

Acupuncture cannot take away the stresses in your life (sorry!) but it can help you deal with them in a more positive way....
