Yvette Mann B.Sc. (POD) Hons., M.Ch.S., HPC

Yvette Mann

Yvette Mann qualified in 1997 with a second class honours degree from Northampton University with a particular interest in diabetes and biomechanics. Since helping to set up clinics in the Ukraine and treating London Marathon runners her passion for treating biomechanical complaints has continued in her private practice which includes treating paediatrics, pregnant mothers, sports patients and diabetic and rheumatoid patients.

Yvette is committed to ensuring that all areas of foot care are met and are just as important as specialised areas of Podiatry. Therefore all Podiatrists who work in her practice have general and specialised knowledge in routine, biomechanics and nail surgery and also believe treating the patient as a whole and not just a specific complaint.

She is HPC Registered and a member of the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists.

In the early years she took her interest in diabetes to the Ukraine with the Ukraine Relief Project to help set up further diabetic amendment and treatment clinics. These Clinics are currently still actively worked to early diagnose and treat diabetic symptoms with the main result of reducing the number of lower leg amputations.

By working in the NHS for Optimum Health Trust London she was able to share her knowledge in diabetic foot care in Lewisham, Catford and Kings Cross Hospital.

Alongside her NHS work Yvette went into the private sector in Weybridge working as an associate for a very reputable foot clinic where her knowledge and interest in Biomechanics grew. For three years running she was able to be part of the medical team in the London Marathon to help with injuries incurred after running for 26miles.

Now she runs a business called Yvette Mann Podiatry running from two clinic bases. One is being Holly Tree Surgery in Rowledge, Farnham. The other being Luck’s Yard Clinic, Milford where she has the privilege of working with a wonderful team of health professional.

Her main outlook is that the multi disciplinary approach does work and the patients get the package of care that they deserve.

Chiropractic treatment, physical therapies and lower limb biomechanics have proven to work very well together especially if the practitioners work under the same roof so patient cases can be discussed and appropriate treatment plans drawn up. Children, adults and sports patients included.

Yvette hopes to continue to grow her business with the help of associates like Maninder Bharj. Routine Podiatry/Chiropody is just as important as the specialised areas in the profession. Routine foot care, Verrucae treatment and nail surgery are regular treatments necessary to keep our feet healthy.
